Technical description

Excessive friction between compound and equipment metal causes sticking, surface marks and lost throughput in PVC extrusion. Macrocrystalline Paraffin Wax is a highly refined paraffin that acts as an external lubricant, forming a film between the melt and the metal wall, controlling the fusion curve and adding body to the formulation. Also used in textile waxing, candles and protective coatings.

We recommend evaluating polymer matrix, thermal cycle and process conditions before setting optimal dosage. Our application team supports lab and pilot trials through industrial qualification.
